We had already visited teamLab Borderless last year, but this time, we discovered the expanded TeamLab Planets, now with over twenty new artworks.

We spent nearly four hours inside, moving slowly from one installation to another — sometimes going through them more than once, just to take it all in.

It’s immersive, overwhelming in the best way, and completely unique.

Do you remember our Christmas ryokan stay last year, not far from Tokyo? Well… we did it again.

Some habits are healthier than others. Ours is spending 24 hours completely disconnected — soaking in onsens, breathing fresh mountain air, and enjoying incredible seasonal food.

This beautiful ryokan is run by Miyamoto Kazuki, the 12th head of the Miyamoto family. Their Edo-period home, passed down for over 300 years, has been transformed into an intimate ryokan welcoming only a few guests at a time.

Surrounded by nature, it feels like stepping into another world.

Private onsens, quiet moments, and a comforting meal to end the day — simple, slow, and exactly what we needed.

As big fans of Harry Potter, this place always feels a little special.

Every visit is different. There’s always a new detail to notice, a hidden behind-the-scenes secret to discover, or a new appreciation for the techniques that brought the films to life.

And somehow… it never stops amazing us.

A simple weekend: café and bowling ☕ 🎳

On the first weekend of the holidays, we stayed local and kept things easy. We started the day at one of our favourite coffee spots, taking a moment to slow down and enjoy a quiet morning.

While my home team was busy practising strategy, I enjoyed my coffee and… still didn’t understand a single rule.

Then it was time to hit the lanes. It was our daughter’s very first time, and let’s just say… we adults were a bit rusty too.

But after a few rounds, things started to click. More strikes, less hesitation, and a lot more laughter. One of those simple days that turn into really good memories.
